The Canadian American Challenge Cup “CanAm Series,” the twenty-first-century version of the "most exciting racing in autosports," is expected to launch in 2022 with wheel-to-wheel competition at some of the same iconic race tracks that hosted the original events from 1966 to 1974.
Applications for a total of six (6) founding* and six (6) conventional team charters are being accepted now from experienced professional race teams with the proven resources to field two-car race teams.
Registrations are being accepted from drivers holding the equivalent of an FIA Super, Platinum or Gold license.
*Founding-team charters featuring enhanced revenue-sharing covenants will be awarded to the first six (6) qualified professional race teams.
Applications are being accepted for a one hundred and forty-four (144) (the founding racer league).* Another five hundred (500) racers will be accepted from experienced and amateur racers with limited experience.
*Founding racer league members will benefit from enhanced prize awards.
In support of youth competition- CanAm is taking applications to sponsor and hold closed-course drone car-racing league events in conjunction with its professional auto racing series.
